Open graph preview tool rendering Facebook X LinkedIn and WhatsApp link cards

A great article with a broken link preview still gets ignored. Type your title, description and image into this free Open Graph preview composer and watch realistic Facebook, X, LinkedIn and WhatsApp cards render live. It is a composer, not a URL scraper: browsers cannot fetch arbitrary pages client-side, so you design the card here and deploy the tags with confidence.

Fill in the fields. Realistic Facebook, X, LinkedIn and WhatsApp cards render live below.

Honest limitation: a browser page cannot fetch and parse arbitrary URLs (no backend here), so this is a preview composer, not a URL debugger. It shows exactly how your title, description and image will look once your page's Open Graph and Twitter Card tags are live. After deploying, verify with each platform's official debugger.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Open Graph preview free?

Yes. Unlimited previews, no signup, no caps. Everything renders locally in your browser.

Can I paste a URL and have it fetch the tags?

No. Browsers block pages from fetching arbitrary sites, and there is no backend here to do it server-side. Paste your title, description and image manually to compose the exact card.

Why does my real share look different from the preview?

Platforms cache link data aggressively: after changing tags, re-scrape the URL in the platform's official debugger (Facebook Sharing Debugger, X Card Validator). Also check your tags are in the page head and the image URL is absolute https.

What image size should I use?

1200 x 630 px is the universal safe choice for Facebook, LinkedIn and X large cards. Keep it under 8 MB and use an absolute https URL in og:image.

Are my inputs stored anywhere?

No. The composer runs entirely in your browser; nothing is uploaded or saved.

How do I preview Open Graph tags before publishing?

Short answer: Enter your og:title, og:description, page URL and og:image into the composer above. It renders pixel-faithful approximations of the Facebook, X, LinkedIn and WhatsApp cards, with character counters warning you when text will truncate. Adjust until every card looks right, then copy the same values into your page's meta tags.

This catches the classic mistakes early: truncated titles, missing images and descriptions that read like keyword soup.

Why can't this tool fetch my URL directly?

Short answer: Because of the browser same-origin policy: a web page cannot download and parse HTML from other domains, and this site has no server backend to do it for you. Tools that debug live URLs run server-side scrapers. This composer is honest about that boundary instead of pretending.

The practical workflow: compose here, deploy your tags, then validate the live URL in each platform's official debugger.

What are the essential Open Graph tags?

Short answer: At minimum: og:title, og:description, og:image (absolute https URL, ideally 1200 x 630), og:url and og:type. X also reads twitter:card (set summary_large_image for the big image layout). Keep titles under 60 characters and descriptions under 200 so nothing truncates. Match og:url to the canonical address so shares consolidate signals on one URL.

Test the exact strings in the composer first: what you type here is what the tags should contain.
